Ambiance: carmelinas is an intimate restaurant with not much decor. It almost feels like you're part of the kitchen since you can see them prepare the food. the dishes come in a pan which i thought was fun & different. Service: because the restaurant is small but popular, service is pretty fast which i liked Food: both entrees were amazing!! it's your classic italian dishes but it was fresh and not heavy. I've gotten frutti de mare many times & this place was the best i've had. chicken parm was also amazing. reservations book up quick so definitely think ahead! def recommending this place to anyone coming to boston!

Great customer service. Put our name on the list (expect a long wait) went to a pub, came back and was greeted with a glass of wine on the house while our table was being turned. We ordered amazing food, chatted with the staff and had an overall amazing experience!!

Delicious! We were able to walk-in to Carmelina's on a Monday during lunch and we were soooo happy we didn't have to wait or make a reservation. We ordered the Sunday Macaroni and the Mussels Bianco. While both were delicious, we LOVED the Mussels Bianco and it was one of our favorite dishes from our trip to Boston. The mussels were fresh and the broth was very flavorful. The Sunday Macaroni was great, but I would probably order something else instead next time. The highlight of that dish was the slow-cooked short rib, but the pasta and sauce were pretty average. The restaurant itself is pretty small and has limited seating, so I definitely suggest making a reservation or heading there during weird/off hours for a meal.

Omg this definitely be my favorite spot in Boston in North end. Had to made a reservation way in advance and finally got lucky to get a reservation in a Sunday. Everything was perfect, love the shrimp garlic, lots of flavor. Meat is tender, melting in your mouth. Pasta sauce is buttery, great portion. Service is quick, small restaurant and loud music. Looking forward to going here again

5 stars and more for the most amazing dining experience on Hanover St. There are so many places to dine in the North End. Everyone has a favorite. Reviews for Carmelina's are high for good reason. The vibe is perfect. Service is flawless. The EDM music is soothing, low and perfect for dining. The menu is expansive and food is served hot and tasty. The wine selection is wonderful. The noise level at lunch is a bit high but it did not hinder our experience. Our server made individual recommendations. The tuna app is a solid 5 stars and MORE. I could go on and on but enough, stop googling where to eat and make a res here, thank me later.

Still amazing. We made it back to Boston and our first dinner stop was Carmelita's. They didn't disappoint. I'm not going to run on and on about, I'm just saying if you're lucky enough to get a reservation or a table by walking in then go. We have the Tuna Arrabbiata again. Absolutely one of the best to dishes ever. For dinner my wife had the shrimp scampi and I had the Frutti Di Mare. Rather the red sauce I had it in the wine sauce. Amazing on both dishes. Going to try and get in one more time before we leave. The best Italian food of Boston and most other places.
